About Our Programs

 

We are excited to announce enhancements to our already strong core classes.

• - An afternoon Kindergarten Enrichment Class
• - Additional Extended Day options such as Early Morning Drop-off at 8 a.m. and longer extended day options now until 5 p.m.
• - In the Works, a program for 2 year olds

The Village Nursery School (VNS) offers flexible options to enable families to build the program best suited for their child. Hosted in our beautiful open classrooms in our specially designed building, Village Nursery School offers a number of programs.  Our preschool classes can be integrated with our range of enrichment classes and extended care options to create a program that matches your child’s interests and family’s needs.

Our core programs, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten classes, are available for children 2.9 years - 6 years-old. Programs are offered based on enrollment needs. 

VNS offers Kindergarten extension programs when there is sufficient enrollment.

Thematic Afterschool Enrichment programs are offered to present topics in greater depth. Classes can be combined with a student’s preschool or kindergarten class to both extend their day and allow them greater exposure to new and exciting ideas. Examples of our enrichment offerings have included musical, science & nature, units on World Cultures such as Egypt, France and China, environment, movement classes such as Yoga, and literary programs such as Cooks & Books.  These programs are typically offered three times a year as an eight week session.

If additional hours are needed, Extended Day Programs and hours are available starting 8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. 

We offer a Fun Friday program from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. These lightly structured programs allow children to play and learn under the guidance of VNS faculty and are operated on a drop-in basis at a rate of $10.50 / hour.

Summer Programs are available in the month of June.
