Pre-K and Kindergarten Program

VNS offers a complete Pre-K and Kindergarten program which is based on the developmental theory that each child is a unique learner, and brings his/her own perspectives and abilities to the classroom. We believe in a small class size offers the best environment for learning.

Our cohesive curriculum includes:

• Exciting themes and units to expand horizons
• Weekly Activities - Art, Math, Cooperative Games, Reading, Writing, and Dramatic Play
• Field trips and special on-site presentations
• Special Offerings- Music, French, Journals, Nature & Science
• Puppetry and theater
• Exposure to diversity of nature, human culture and the world around
• Developing social skills

If your child is not 5 years of age by September 1 and wishes to enroll in the morning kindergarten program, you must provide an evaluation form filled out by your child's previous nursery school teacher. Please see the VNS Director, Jane Venditti, for a copy of the evaluation form. Decision on admission will be made at the sole discretion of VNS through its Director and kindergarten teacher.
