Art and Science Classes

Village Nursery School is offering two new programs this fall that integrate with the Harvard Elementary School ½ day kindergarten classes (both morning and afternoon) and early release day schedule. The classes offer a great way to allow your child to explore art and science in a relaxed but engaging atmosphere.

We will be offering these classes again beginning in January 2010.
Class dates and sign up information will be posted in the near future.

K-Art

• For 1/2 day Kindergarten students & older 4 year olds
• Tuesdays:  9:30 - 11 a.m.  & 1 - 2:30 p.m.
• 2 different classes - syncs up with both the morning and afternoon kindergarten programs
• $150.00
• Class size limited to 12 students

Carolyn Carbonell will lead this art program. We will create awesome art work, read art related books, play art games and even explore art history. Includes some outdoor playtime on the playground.

Early Release Days:  Wacky Science Club

• For Kindergarten and 1st graders
• Early Release Days
• 1:30 - 3 p.m.
• $110.00
• Teacher:  Mrs. Curley

Mrs. Curley will lead this science and experimentation class. We will be involved in wacky experiments, from a silly spinning contest, to how to make a groovy lava lamp, to show kids in a fun way different science concepts. Each day, kids make their own snack as we create a nutritious treat and experiment with cooking.  An awesome way to learn about science in an engaging, but relaxed atmosphere on early release days.

For both classes, the HES school bus can drop-off / pick-up to directly to VNS and HES in time for your child's afternoon class, or right from HES after your morning / early release school day.
